Affiliate disclosure: how WornXR makes money

Some links on WornXR earn us a commission. You pay the same price, and it never changes what we recommend. Here's how it works.

WornXR is free to read. Affiliate links help keep it that way. Here's what that means for you.

The short version

Some links on this site go to stores, like Amazon or a glasses maker's own shop. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way.

Commissions never decide what we recommend. A pair that pays us more doesn't get a better spot. A pair that pays us nothing doesn't get left out.

Amazon

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Most of our buy links go to Amazon. We never type Amazon prices by hand. If you see one, it comes straight from Amazon, with the date and time we checked it. Prices change fast, so the price at checkout is the one that counts.

Brand stores

Some links go to a glasses maker's own store. We may also earn from brands that run their own affiliate programs, like RayNeo, VITURE, XREAL and Meta.

When we quote a price from a brand's store, we say the date we checked it.

How you'll know

Every page with affiliate links says so at the top, before you reach any links. It also names the stores those links go to.

What a commission never changes

  • Our picks. We pick glasses for how well they fit your device and what you want to do with them.
  • "Doesn't work" answers. If a pair won't work with your device, the checker says so, even when we'd earn from the sale.
  • The fine print. If a pair needs a dock, an adapter or an app to do what you want, we tell you.

Brands don't get a say

Brands can't pay to be on a page or to rank higher. They don't see our pages before they go live.

If a brand sends or lends us gear to test, the page says so. A free pair doesn't buy a better verdict.

Ads

We don't run display ads right now. If we add them later, they'll be clearly marked as ads. Advertisers won't get a say in what we write.
