Privacy policy: what WornXR collects and why

WornXR collects very little. Here's what our analytics counts, what happens when you email us or click a store link, and how to opt out.

Last updated: November 2, 2026.

WornXR has no accounts, comments or newsletter. You can read every page and use the checker without telling us who you are. Here's the little we do collect, and why.

The short version

  • We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help people.
  • If you email us, we get your email address and your message.
  • Store links can set the store's own cookies after you click.
  • We don't sell your information, and we don't run ads.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics shows us how people use the site, so we know what to fix and what to write next. It tells us things like:

  • which pages you visit and how long you stay
  • how you found us, like a search or a link on another site
  • your rough location, like your country or city
  • your device, browser and screen size
  • which links you click, including store buttons and the product they're for

Analytics doesn't tell us what you buy. Google doesn't store IP addresses in Analytics, and we can't use this data to work out who you are.

Analytics uses cookies to tell new visits from repeat ones. Detailed Analytics data is deleted after 14 months at most. We don't link Analytics to any ad account, and we don't use it to target ads.

Google handles this data under its own rules. Here's how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cookies and opting out

WornXR's own code doesn't set cookies. Google Analytics does. To skip it, you can:

  • block cookies in your browser settings
  • use a browser or extension that blocks trackers
  • install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on

The site works the same either way.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no agreed standard for what sites should do with it, so WornXR doesn't change anything when it sees one. The options above still work.

When you email us

If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you send, like a photo of your setup. We use it to reply and to improve our pages. We won't add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone.

If your report leads to a correction, the page and our correction log say what changed. We won't name you unless you ask us to.

Some links go to stores, like Amazon or a glasses maker's own shop. When you click one, you leave WornXR. The store may set a cookie so it knows we sent you. That's how we earn a commission.

Stores report each sale to us, like which product sold, so we get paid. They don't tell us who bought it. What a store collects is covered by its own privacy policy. Our affiliate disclosure has more on how these links work.

Our web host

Like most websites, our host keeps basic server logs. They include things like IP addresses, browser types and the pages requested. These logs help keep the site running and secure.

Kids

WornXR is written for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has emailed us, tell us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

  • See or delete your emails. Email us, and we'll tell you what we have or delete it.
  • Skip Analytics. Use any of the opt-out options above.

Analytics data isn't tied to your name or email, so we can't look it up for you.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
