The XREAL One Pro plugs straight into a lot of gear. XREAL's setup guide lists the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, USB-C iPhones, Galaxy S phones, MacBook Pros and USB-C Windows laptops. It has no battery, so the device you plug into powers it.

For anything else, like 6DoF, a Switch or a console, you need an add-on. Here's what XREAL sells, what's worth it and what to skip.

Note

We haven't tested these accessories ourselves yet. Everything here comes from XREAL's store and setup guides. Prices are from XREAL's US store on November 2, 2026.

XREAL Eye ($99): a screen that stays put

Out of the box, the One Pro tracks your head turning. XREAL calls that 3DoF. The XREAL Eye is a small camera that adds 6DoF. It unlocks Spatial Anchor mode, where the screen stays pinned to a spot in your room as you move.

XREAL lists it for the One and One Pro, and it works with the newer 1 Pro+ too. It has no battery of its own. It runs off the glasses and gets its updates through their firmware. Spatial Anchor only shows up in the menu while the Eye is connected.

It takes photos and short videos too:

  • Photos up to 2016 × 1512
  • Video at 1600 × 1200, at 30 or 60 fps
  • Clips of 15, 30 or 60 seconds
  • 2 GB of storage, built into the glasses

Want one video that shows your screens and the real world together? XREAL says that needs its Beam Pro as well.

Skip it if you mostly watch in Follow mode, where the screen moves with your head anyway.

XREAL Hub ($39.99): charging and the original Switch

The Hub lets you charge your device while you use the glasses, at up to 45W. XREAL says it passes video through at up to 120Hz. It's also how the original Switch connects. XREAL's setup guide says the Switch family needs the Hub.

XREAL lists the original Switch, Switch OLED, Steam Deck, Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally and phones whose USB-C port carries video. A Switch has to stay plugged into power while you play.

Three things to know before you buy:

  • It's listed as coming soon. When we checked, XREAL's store showed a "notify me" button instead of a buy button.
  • Switch 2 is a question mark. XREAL's setup guide groups the Switch 2 with the Switch and points to the Hub. But the Hub's own page doesn't mention the Switch 2, and XREAL hasn't explained how it gets past the console's dock check. Our Switch 2 guide has the setups that work.
  • It doesn't list the XREAL 1S. The glasses on the Hub's page are the One Pro, the One and the older Air models.

For PlayStation and Xbox: an HDMI adapter

Consoles send video over HDMI, not USB-C. XREAL's setup guide says PlayStation, Xbox and computers with an HDMI port need an HDMI to USB-C adapter.

The One Pro draws its power from whatever it's connected to. An HDMI port can't supply much, so look for an adapter that takes its own USB-C charger. Switch 2 owners can use this route through the console's own dock. Here's how that setup works.

Prescription lenses ($59.90)

The One Pro has no focus dials. XREAL's custom lenses cover -10.00 to +4.00, with astigmatism. When we checked, they cost $59.90, down from $159.90.

Order the One Pro lenses specifically, since XREAL sells different ones for its other glasses. Our One Pro prescription guide covers the ranges and how to order.

Maybe: XREAL Beam Pro ($199)

The Beam Pro is XREAL's own Android device, made to pair with its glasses. XREAL offers it as a $199 add-on on the One Pro's store page, in Wi-Fi and 5G versions. It's also what the XREAL Eye needs for mixed reality recording.

Check before you buy, though. The Beam Pro's own page names the XREAL One, not the One Pro, in its compatibility notes. Ask XREAL support to confirm it does what you want with your glasses.

What to skip or wait on

  • XREAL Neo. XREAL's battery dock for the Switch 2 was paused in March 2026, per TechnoEdge. It's still on hold.
  • The Hub, if you own a 1S. XREAL doesn't list the 1S for it.
