XREAL size guide: M or L for the One Pro, 1 Pro+ and ROG R1

XREAL's One Pro, 1 Pro+ and ROG R1 each come in two sizes, set by the space between your pupils. Here's how to measure yours and pick M or L, even at 66 mm.

XREAL's top glasses ask you to pick a size at checkout. That size has nothing to do with how big your head is. It's about the distance between the centers of your pupils, called your IPD.

Get it right and the whole screen looks sharp. Get it wrong and the edges can blur, or you might see double. Here's how to choose, in about five minutes.

Note

We haven't compared both sizes side by side ourselves. This guide uses XREAL's and ASUS's fit guides and store pages, checked November 4, 2026.

Which XREAL glasses come in sizes

GlassesSizesIPD range
XREAL 1 Pro+M or LM: 57 to 66 mm. L: 66 to 75 mm.
XREAL One ProM or LM: 57 to 66 mm, centered on 63. L: 66 to 75 mm, centered on 69.
ROG XREAL R1IPD 63 or IPD 6957 to 66 mm, or 66 to 75 mm
XREAL One and 1SOne sizeA menu setting covers 59.5 to 70.5 mm
XREAL AuraM or LM: 60 to 66 mm. L: 66 to 72 mm.

The R1's names trip people up. ASUS calls its sizes IPD 63 and IPD 69, after the center of each range. XREAL's US store lists the same two as N (IPD 57-66mm) and B (IPD 66-75mm). They line up with M and L on XREAL's own glasses.

The Aura's ranges are different, so don't carry your size over from another pair. Our Aura tracker has its sizing.

How to find your IPD

You need one number in millimeters. Pick whichever way is easiest:

  1. Check your glasses prescription. Look for "PD." One number is your total. Two numbers, like 32 and 31.5, are one per eye, so add them. A slash, like 64/61, usually means distance and near. Use the first, since these glasses place the screen meters away. Unsure? Ask your optician.
  2. Use XREAL's online tool. XREAL's IPD page, at xreal.com/ipd, can estimate your IPD with your device's camera. Good light helps. Run it a couple of times and compare.
  3. Ask an optometrist. XREAL calls this the most accurate way. It takes seconds at an eye exam.
  4. Use a mirror and a ruler. Hold a millimeter ruler flat against your brow, level, and look straight ahead into a mirror. Read the distance from the center of one pupil to the center of the other. A friend can do it faster.

The camera tool and the ruler both give estimates. If two readings disagree, trust your optician's number.

Right on 66 mm?

Both sizes list 66 mm, so a 66 is the one reading where the chart can't decide for you.

  • Try both, if you can. ASUS says to visit a store and try both R1 sizes when you're between them. XREAL says to compare both sizes or contact its support.
  • Measure again. A 65.5 and a 66.5 are different answers. Repeat the camera tool or ask your optician.
  • Check the return window before you order, in case the first size feels off.

What the IPD setting in the menu can do

The 1 Pro+, One Pro, 1S and R1 also have an IPD Adjustment in their menus. It's a fine-tune, not a second size.

  • On the 1 Pro+, it's under Settings, then Help, then IPD Adjustment. XREAL says to try the nose pads and temple angles first.
  • On the One, One Pro and 1S, it's the last item under Spatial Screen. There are 13 steps of 1 mm each, and step 7 is the center of your size.

XREAL warns that adjusting it may shrink the biggest screen size and the farthest screen distance you can set. So the setting can't make up for the wrong size. It just tidies up the edges on the right one.

Fit is more than IPD

Two other parts of the fit change what you see.

Nose pads. The 1 Pro+, One Pro and R1 come with S, M and L pads. On the 1 Pro+ and R1, M comes fitted. S suits a higher nose bridge and L a lower one. XREAL's 1 Pro+ guide puts it in terms of the picture: if it sits too high in your view, try L. Too low, try S.

Temples. The arms tilt to three positions. Set both sides the same, then check that you can see all four corners.

Still uncomfortable after all that? XREAL suggests checking the fit again, lowering the brightness, picking a smaller screen and keeping sessions short.

If you wear glasses

Your size depends on your eyes, not your frames. Nearsighted or farsighted? You'll want prescription lenses that clip in, since none of these pairs has focus dials. Good news for upgraders: XREAL says the 1 Pro+ takes lenses made for the One, One Pro and 1S. Here's how 1 Pro+ lenses work, and the One Pro lens guide.

Before you order

  1. Find your IPD with at least two methods.
  2. Pick M for 57 to 65 mm or L for 67 to 75 mm.
  3. Sitting on 66 mm? Try both in a store, or ask XREAL.
  4. Order lenses separately if you need them.
