XREAL firmware updates: how to update and what each one changed
How to check and update the firmware on XREAL's 1 Pro+, One, One Pro, 1S and ROG R1, what to do when an update fails and what each update has changed.
XREAL keeps adding features to its glasses after you buy them. The One series picked up 120 Hz, 2D to 3D conversion and gesture control this way. This page shows how to check your version, how to update and what each update changed. We'll add new updates as they land.
Note
We haven't installed these updates on our own glasses yet. This page uses XREAL's manuals and update page, plus the news reports named in each entry, checked November 5, 2026.

How to update on a computer
These steps cover the 1 Pro+, One, One Pro and 1S.
- On a 1 Pro+, turn off Default DP audio first if you switched it on. It's under Settings, then General, then Laboratory. XREAL recommends this before any update.
- Plug the glasses into a Windows or Mac computer. Use the USB-C cable that came with them.
- Open Google Chrome. It's the browser XREAL recommends for updates.
- Go to xreal.com/ota.
- Click Connect. Pick your glasses in the browser pop-up, then click Connect again.
- Click Update. Leave the glasses plugged in until it finishes.
Done? Check your version again to make sure the new number shows.
Update a 1 Pro+ with Beam Pro
Own XREAL's Beam Pro? You can skip the computer. Connect the Beam Pro to Wi-Fi, then plug in the 1 Pro+. It checks the glasses' firmware on its own and prompts you when an update is ready. Follow the steps on screen.
If an update fails
XREAL's update page suggests this order:
- Refresh the page.
- Reconnect the glasses and try again.
- Still getting an error? Take a screenshot of the page and email it to support@xreal.com.
Why it's worth updating
- New features. 120 Hz, 2D to 3D conversion and gesture control all reached the One series through updates.
- Fixes. XREAL's 1 Pro+ troubleshooting guide lists a firmware update among the fixes for a picture that flickers or keeps dropping out.
- Gestures change. XREAL calls gesture control experimental and says gestures can shift between firmware versions. If one is missing on yours, go by what your glasses' menu shows.
